Testimonials: Kits Heritage Home
I was happy to provide Jerry Ralla with a testimonial for his company, J. Ralla Homes.
Rather than go into details about our 30+ year history together, and the quality homes Jerry has built for myself and other family members, I would encourage Jerry’s clients to come and visit the latest home Jerry recently completed for us.
The project was unique: take a Kitsilano, Victorian house built in 1912, and give it the “facelift” of a lifetime! On top of that, we built a new, 1600 square foot detached carriage house at the back of the property.
Beginning with stripping the house and raising it up on blocks, Jerry was up to the challenge and excited to try something new. The 2485 West 5th Avenue project was an opportunity for Jerry to utilize all of his experience because the majority of the decisions during construction were made onsite. It was truly a “fluid” process, and one that required 
Jerry to spend extra time and energy to solve the many hurdles the existing structure presented. The result is nothing short of stunning and the entire project has come together even better than we envisioned it when we applied for the Development Permit in 2008.
Our home in Kitsilano is one we enjoy every day. It is a home built by a friend and business partner that is a testament to “doing the job right.”
